7 July 2026 – Virtual Evaluation Meeting Successfully Held within the Erasmus+ Project EmpowerAble

The partners of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project "EmpowerAble: Supporting Children with Autism through Physical Education" successfully participated in the Virtual Evaluation Meeting dedicated to the implementation and evaluation of Work Package 4 (WP4) – Internal and External Piloting Phase.

The meeting, organised by Kauno Prano Daunio Education Centre (Lithuania) as the WP4 lead partner, brought together representatives from all partner organisations to review the progress of the piloting activities, evaluate the achieved results, and discuss the overall impact of the project across participating countries.

Partners presented the outcomes of their national pilot activities following a common structure, enabling a comprehensive comparison of experiences and results.

During the presentations, each partner shared information on the implementation of the EmpowerAble curriculum, the integration of Virtual Reality (VR) activities into physical education, the involvement of students, teachers, and parents, and the organisation of integrated learning activities. Partners also presented quantitative data, including participation and completion rates, together with qualitative findings highlighting strengths, successful practices, challenges encountered, and lessons learned throughout the piloting process.

An important part of the meeting was dedicated to dissemination activities carried out by each organisation. Partners reported on face-to-face and online seminars, training events, stakeholder engagement, and the dissemination materials produced during the project. Supporting evidence, including participant registration lists, photographs, videos, publications, and documentation stored in the project's shared Google Drive, was also reviewed.

The consortium discussed the impact of the project on students, teachers, parents, schools, partner organisations, and local communities. Partners shared evidence demonstrating improvements in inclusive teaching practices, increased awareness of autism-friendly physical education approaches, enhanced teacher confidence in using innovative teaching methods, and positive feedback from participants involved in the pilot activities.

During the joint discussion, partners exchanged good practices, compared implementation experiences across different countries, identified common challenges, and explored practical solutions to improve the implementation of the EmpowerAble curriculum and VR-based learning activities. The discussion also focused on the transferability and long-term sustainability of the project's results beyond the project lifetime.

The meeting concluded with a review of reporting requirements, documentation standards, quality indicators, and deadlines for the completion of WP4. Partners also agreed on recommendations for the final project outputs, future dissemination activities, sustainability strategies, and policy recommendations that will contribute to the successful completion of the project.

The Virtual Evaluation Meeting represented an important milestone in ensuring the quality, consistency, and impact of the EmpowerAble project. Through open dialogue, collaborative evaluation, and the exchange of good practices, the partnership reinforced its shared commitment to promoting inclusive, innovative, and accessible physical education for children with autism across Europe.
